Yes, I have felt that way. But I think part of the problem is that we allow our intellect too much say in the matter! Part (or maybe even most) of our identity confusion stems from the messages we get from outside sources, like the media and the gen…

Well...that sounds quite pessimistic to me! I definitely believe in the concept of "peaceful love" and I am NOT single. Obviously in any relationship there will be ups and downs but it is possible for couple to be peacefully happy the majority of th…

Kym,
How funny, I am also a massage therapist. I just decided to let my license go because I have not massaged anybody but my son since he was born. My birthday is at the end of the month and i have not taken any continuing education classes.
I guess you already know everything about the magic of touching people for a living.
Since you are going to be both a massage therapist and an esthetician, tell me if you would compare yourself to an animal would you be more likely compare yourself to a cat or a dog?
The reason for this question is that once I had a spa trainer that comapered massage therapists to dogs (loyal, good natured and always ready to serve) and estheticians to cats (spirited, finnicky and serving people on their own terms). Ever since that day I pay attention to people at the spa and it is so true!
I am more a cat type of girl, I guess. Although, I have to say that I am not as finicky as some of the people I have worked with.
I always wanted to be an esthetician ever since I was a little girl.
I do love to massage but I am more into chemistry than anatomy so that does not make me the best massage therapist out there, I just love to work on a soul level so to speak. No deep tissue here.

Anyway, I am great to have somebody to share experiences with.

Kym,
Welcome to Portal to Awakening. I am truly happy to meet you here. When I read your profile, I get a smile on my face. Although I am not an outdoor hero, I have to say that I have an 16 month old son and before I had him I was working as skin care therapist. It is truly an amazing profession. You get to love on people all day and in the end you are kind of a therapist also. You get to support people in their lives.
I was wondering what skin care brand you use at school? What are you as a therapist all about? Have you figured that out yet? It is always fun to see what kind of philosophy works for you and what does not. I am curious about that. How many hours does it take to complete your course in MA?
I am looking forward to getting to know you better, glad to have found someone who has common interests.
Love&Light,
leen
